There are 1361 rare coins preserved along with different antiquities in rampur raza library. A good number of coins are in silver, copper and billon. The gold coins also mark their presence in the collection. Small quantity of coins is related to ancient period which are known as punch-marked coins. Most of the coins belong to the sultanate and mughal period. These coins have been catalogued.

The numismatic collection is the pride possession of rampur raza library as it has the coins from delhi sultanate (1206-1526) mainly belonging to khilji dynasty (1290-1320) namely, ala ud-din muhammad shah I, qutb ud-din mubarak shah I and tughluq dynasty (1320-1414) namely, ghiyasuddin tughluq shah, muhammad shah ii; from mughal empire (1526-1857) namely, shah jahan, shah alam I, bahadur shah I, roshan akhtar mohammed shah, ahmed shah bahadur, azizuddin alamgir ii, shah alam ii and from durrani dynasty (1747-1826).
