The library collection is enriched through purchase, exchange and gift. The library keeps acquiring books, periodicals and newspapers and accessions them properly. The library acquires such books and periodicals which are required to meet the demands of the research scholars.

Bibliographic classification of books is done on routine basis. The card catalogues are prepared, arranged and shelved in different languages. The books are first entered in the catalogue register then catalogue cards are made of these books. The cards are also arranged and kept in the cabinets. The work of labeling and dusting of books is done regularly. The library also keeps card catalogue up to date and thousands of cards are also checked. The manuscripts and books are cleaned on the shelves. Simultaneously manuscripts and new books are labeled.
